Week 27 March 22-26
Sneaky homework (please write the response in your agenda). Who was the first family to live in the Deane House? What tragic thing kept happening to Captain Deane?
This week we worked in pairs to get ready for our Elbow River information gathering day and side walk chalk. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate and we have had to post phone the activity.
We have been learning about Calgary's early beginnings. This has included learning about how and when Fort Calgary was built(1875) and who lived in the Deane house.
In literacy we wrote letters to each of our own families from the perspective of the Easter Bunny. Each letter is in the blog post below, please take the time to read your child's letter. Also in Literacy we have been working on "Yes Day" writing. The students each wrote about 4 things they would ask for if their parents had to say "yes" to them.
