Week 20 Feb. 1st to 5th
This week was the beginning of the cold weather! Thankfully we were able to get out and snowshoe twice before the mercury dropped below -20C.
This week we;
-wrote our Physical Education hockey tests
-grade 2s completed their JUMP Math 2.1 books (grade 3s aren't too far begind)
-grade 3s are still working on multiplication
-grade 2s completed their hockey rink magnet game and learned how to make it look like magnets can bounce
-grade 3s learned about different igneous rocks and their purposes
-worked in our gratitude books
-began a Valentine's Day Art project
-wrote Groundhog Day stories from the perspective of the groundhog
-learned about groundhogs and wrote facts in our own words
-sketched groundhogs
-all guided reading groups completed their novels and will begin new novels next week
